The Team Member role at Caribou Coffee is essential to delivering the brand's promise of creating day-making experiences for every guest. As the core of the Caribou experience, Team Members are responsible for providing unparalleled guest service, crafting world-class beverages, and embodying the company’s purpose and values in every interaction. This position involves a mix of responsibilities including taking orders, managing cash transactions, preparing food items, and ensuring the store environment meets cleanliness and organization standards. Team Members must demonstrate hospitality, attention to detail, and a passion for connecting with guests to create positive and memorable experiences.
This is a front-line role that requires flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and some holidays. Job Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Ability to work early mornings, evenings, some holidays and/or weekends
- Ability to see, hear, speak, reach, lift up to 50 pounds, sit, stand for 4 to 8 hours, bend and move intermittently during work hours
- Strong cash handling skills
- Ability to follow cleanliness and safety standards
- Willingness to take direction and work as part of a team
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
Job Qualifications
- Ability to work early mornings, evenings, some holidays and/or weekends
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Preferred experience in restaurant, retail, or guest service
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Enthusiasm for creating positive customer experiences
- Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to learn and grow within the company
Job Duties
- Provide incredible guest service by developing personal ongoing relationships with guests
- Practice active listening and connection
- Anticipate guest needs and proactively solve guest opportunities by demonstrating product knowledge and hospitality
- Make enthusiastic and knowledgeable recommendations to delight guests
- Create day-making experiences that spark a chain reaction of good
- Hand-craft beverages to order per Caribou standard operating procedures
- Heat, prepare, and serve Caribou food offerings to standard procedures
- Float between barista and guest service roles
- Take guest orders and manage cash drawer following cash handling policies
- Maintain cleanliness, sanitization, and organization standards
- Anticipate future needs of team and guests
- Differentiate problems that require leader support
- Take direction from leaders and manage multiple priorities
