This job posting is for a position at a restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee, not Del Taco LLC. The independent franchisee serves as the employer and is responsible for all employment-related matters including hiring, firing, wages, discipline, staffing, scheduling, and supervision. Job Requirements

  • Ability to travel to assigned restaurant location
  • Must be at least 16 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
  • Food Handler certification may be required
  • Ability to stand and walk for approximately 95-100 percent of shift including ability to bend, reach and lift and carry a maximum of 50 pounds

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks with effective follow-through
  • General knowledge of computers and POS systems
  • Ability to perform basic business math skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to communicate, develop and maintain close, effective relationships with colleagues, managers, partners and the public
  • Ability to read, write and speak effectively in English

Job Duties

  • Deliver effective results in quality, guest service, safety, security, cleanliness and product preparation
  • Exhibit a cheerful and helpful manner
  • Demonstrate a complete understanding of menu items and explain them accurately to guests
  • Use Point of Sale system/cash register to record orders and compute order amounts, collecting payment from guests
  • Understand and adhere to proper food handling, safety and sanitation standards
  • Follow all company operation policies and procedures
  • Make recommendations to enhance restaurant operations
  • Maintain a professional appearance and grooming standards
  • Clean and maintain all areas of the restaurant to promote a clean image
