The Team Member role at Caribou Coffee embodies the heart of the Caribou experience. This position is fundamental to delivering the company’s purpose of creating day-making moments for every guest. Team Members are responsible for offering unparalleled guest service by building ongoing personal connections with customers, actively listening, and anticipating their needs. They hand-craft world-class beverages and prepare food items following the company’s standard operating procedures, ensuring consistency and quality in every order. Beyond operational tasks, Team Members play a dynamic role, floating between barista duties and guest service while supporting their teammates in various roles as needed.

Job Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Ability to work early mornings, evenings, some holidays and weekends
- Ability to stand, bend, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to see, hear, and speak effectively
- Willingness to work flexible hours
- Ability to manage cash handling following procedures
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
- Commitment to providing excellent customer service
Job Qualifications
- Must be at least 16 years of age

- Preferably have restaurant, retail, or guest service experience

Job Duties
- Provide incredible guest service by developing personal ongoing relationships with guests
- Practice active listening and connection
- Anticipate guest needs and proactively solve guest opportunities by demonstrating product knowledge and hospitality
- Make enthusiastic and knowledgeable recommendations to delight guests
- Create day making experiences that spark a chain reaction of GOOD
- Hand-craft beverages to order per Caribou standard operating procedures
- Heat, prepare, and serve Caribou food offerings to standard operating procedures
- Float between barista and guest service and fulfill all team member roles
- Take guest orders, manage cash drawer, and follow cash handling policies
- Maintain cleanliness, sanitization, and organization standards
- Actively think and act upon team and guest future needs
- Differentiate between problems solvable directly and when to seek leader support
- Take direction from leaders and manage multiple priorities
