Founded in 1956 by Carmela and Gennaro Sbarro, this company has grown from a small salumeria in Brooklyn into a global brand with over 630 locations across 28 countries. The brand’s heritage is built on delivering freshly made, high-quality Italian cuisine quickly in a casual and welcoming setting. Sbarro prides itself on ensuring every guest enjoys a delicious meal served by a friendly and professional team.

The Team Member role at Sbarro is an exciting opportunity for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Team Member is primarily responsible for providing excellent front-line service to Sbarro guests in a courteous, clean, and safe manner. This role involves working across multiple stations such as Server/Cashier, Pizza Maker, Steam Cook/Prep, and Dishwasher, depending on the restaurant’s daily sales volume and operational needs. Cross-training is encouraged, providing team members with the chance to grow their skills in various aspects of restaurant work. This not only supports operational success but enhances the individual’s versatility and career development.

Key duties include serving customers following established procedures, ensuring guest satisfaction, maintaining product knowledge, adhering to food safety and sanitation regulations, and assisting with cleaning and stocking responsibilities. The role requires strong communication skills, the ability to work well under pressure, and a commitment to teamwork and customer service excellence. Team Members at Sbarro also participate in cost control measures, such as managing waste and adhering to proper portion sizes, which contribute to the company’s overall efficiency.

Sbarro offers a comprehensive benefits package to its employees, particularly for those in full-time roles. Benefits include paid vacation and sick leave, employee meal perks, and employer-paid insurance coverage such as short-term and long-term disability, life insurance, dental, health, and vision insurance, as well as critical illness coverage. This combination of benefits and a supportive work environment makes Sbarro a great place to start or continue a career in the foodservice industry.

This team-oriented role is perfect for those looking to join a well-established company with strong community ties and a history of success in the quick-service restaurant market. Whether you are beginning your career or seeking to expand your foodservice skills, Sbarro provides structured training and development opportunities to help you succeed.

In summary, the Team Member position at Sbarro in Baton Rouge is ideal for energetic, outgoing, and responsible individuals who thrive in a dynamic restaurant environment and are passionate about delivering outstanding guest experiences.
