Caribou Coffee is currently hiring for the position of Team Member, a vital role that embodies the essence of the Caribou experience. The Team Member is responsible for providing unparalleled guest service by engaging with customers in a warm and personable manner, anticipating their needs, and making knowledgeable recommendations to enhance their visit. They craft and serve Caribou's signature beverages and food offerings with meticulous attention to quality and consistency.

The role goes beyond traditional barista tasks by fostering a supportive and positive team environment, where each member is encouraged to bring their authentic self to work while contributing to a culture of fun, ownership, and mutual support. Flexibility is key, as Team Members will float between barista duties and guest service, manage the cash drawer, and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the store according to strict standards. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 16 years of age
  • ability to work at least one of the following: early mornings, evenings, some holidays and/or weekends
  • ability to stand for 4 to 8 hours during shifts
  • ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • ability to see, hear, and speak clearly
  • ability to bend and move intermittently during working hours
  • ability to follow cash handling policies
  • willingness to ask for help when needed

Job Qualifications

  • Must be at least 16 years of age
  • ability to work at least one of the following: early mornings, evenings, some holidays and/or weekends
  • restaurant, retail, or guest service experience preferred
  • learner’s mentality with desire to improve
  • ability to handle cash responsibly

Job Duties

  • Provides incredible guest service by developing personal ongoing relationships with guests
  • practices active listening and connection
  • anticipates guest needs and proactively solves guest opportunities by demonstrating product knowledge and hospitality
  • makes enthusiastic and knowledgeable recommendations to delight guests
  • creates day making experiences that spark a chain reaction of good
  • hand-crafts beverages to order per Caribou standard operating procedures
  • heats, prepares, and serves Caribou food offerings to Caribou standard operating procedures
  • floats between barista and guest service and willingly fulfills all team member roles and responsibilities
  • takes guest orders and manages cash drawer while following all cash handling policies and procedures
  • maintains the look and feel of a well-run store by following cleanliness, sanitization and organization standards
  • actively thinks and acts upon what the team and guest will need in the future
  • differentiates between problems that can be solved directly and when to ask for leader support
  • understands that the team is managing multiple priorities and willingly takes direction from leaders
