Job Description

This job opportunity is with an independently owned and operated Del Taco franchise located in Elk Grove, California. Unlike corporate-operated locations, this establishment is run by a dedicated local franchisee who manages every aspect of employment and operations within the restaurant. As such, all employment decisions including wages, hiring, staffing, discipline, and scheduling are governed by the franchisee. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 16 years of age
  • Ability to travel to assigned restaurant location
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Food handler certification may be required
  • Ability to stand and walk approximately 95-100 percent of shift, including the ability to bend, reach, lift and carry up to 50 pounds

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks with effective follow-through
  • General knowledge of computers and POS systems desired
  • Ability to perform basic business math skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to communicate, develop and maintain close, effective relationships with colleagues, managers, partners and the public
  • Ability to read, write and speak effectively in English

Job Duties

  • Deliver effective results in the areas of quality, guest service, safety, security, cleanliness and product preparation
  • Exhibit a cheerful and helpful manner
  • Demonstrate a complete understanding of menu items and explain them to guests accurately
  • Use Point of Sale system and cash register to record orders and compute order amounts, collecting payment from guests
  • Understand and adhere to proper food handling, safety and sanitation standards
  • Follow all company operation policies and procedures
  • Make recommendations to enhance restaurant operations
  • Maintain a professional appearance and grooming standards
  • Clean and maintain all areas of the restaurant to promote a clean image
