In this position, you will serve as the face of Pollo Nation, welcoming guests, taking orders, and ensuring an enjoyable dining experience. This role also includes maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the restaurant interior and exterior, from mopping floors to managing litter removal. You will be expected to handle multiple tasks efficiently and maintain composure even during busy or stressful periods.

While there are no supervisory responsibilities associated with this position, being a part of Pollo Nation means becoming integral to team efforts and upholding high standards of service. This job also requires adherence to child labor laws where applicable and compliance with alcoholic beverage regulations when necessary.

Job Duties

  • Greet and thank customers
  • place customer food and beverage orders through verbal communication and/or automated systems
  • relay customer food and beverage orders from service counter to kitchen operations
  • cook, prepare, package and pour food and beverages using kitchen equipment while following food safety and sanitation procedures
  • stock kitchen and customer service areas with necessary food, beverage, packaging and service materials
  • stock salsa bars with appropriate levels of sauces, condiments, paper and utensils
  • fill food and beverage orders as part of coordinated kitchen and customer service operations
  • collect customer payments and return change using the cash register
  • unload deliveries of food, beverage, packaging and serving materials
  • clean interior and exterior restaurant premises, including floors, tables, seats, windows, doors, countertops, kitchenware, and kitchen equipment
  • observe and follow alcoholic beverage laws when applicable
  • maintain safe public access to the restaurant
  • perform additional duties as assigned by management
