Job Description
The job opportunity is with an independently owned and operated franchise restaurant of Jack in the Box, located in Fort Worth, Texas. This establishment operates under the ownership of an independent franchisee rather than the parent company, Jack in the Box Inc. This distinction means that all employment-related decisions including hiring, wages, discipline, supervision, staffing, and scheduling are managed directly by the franchisee. The franchise operates with a strong commitment to upholding the brand’s reputation for excellent quality food and exceptional customer service within a fast-paced restaurant setting. The location is at 5031 E. Lancaster, Fort Worth, TX 76103, serving a wide range of customers in the community and emphasizing cleanliness, quick service, accuracy, and guest satisfaction.
This position involves delivering an exceptional guest experience by providing excellent service, great tasting and quality food, and maintaining a clean restaurant environment. Team members will perform tasks from multiple workstations in line with Jack in the Box’s procedures, systems, standards, and the 20/20 guest expectations. These expectations include being well-trained, neat and well-groomed, friendly, well-staffed, and maintaining consistently great food taste alongside quick, accurate, and safe service.
The role requires actively engaging with guests in both dine-in and drive-thru settings by taking orders accurately using the point-of-sale system, assembling food orders with attention to presentation, taste, and temperature standards, and maintaining cleanliness in work and dining areas. Team members will also participate in routine cleaning tasks such as emptying trash, sweeping, mopping floors, cleaning restrooms, and maintaining kitchen and service equipment to ensure operational readiness and compliance with food safety guidelines. Other responsibilities include product preparation including defrosting and assembling ingredients, operating fryers safely, and monitoring food quality and freshness.
The role extends to being a brand ambassador who takes pride in representing Jack in the Box, showing passion for the business, and inspiring others on the team. It requires a positive, friendly attitude and the ability to work well within a diverse team, maintaining professionalism even during busy or stressful periods. The position values commitment, teamwork, and flexibility, with a strong focus on guest satisfaction and adherence to restaurant policies and safety standards.
While previous guest service or food preparation experience is helpful, it is not mandatory, making this an ideal opportunity for individuals looking to start or develop a career in the fast food restaurant industry. Candidates must be at least 16 years old, possess strong communication skills in English, be capable of basic math, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Physical requirements include standing and walking for the majority of the shift and handling food items safely. Job Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old
- Ability to stand and walk for 90-95 percent of the shift
- Ability to lift and carry 15-25 pounds

Job Duties
