This job posting is for a position at a restaurant franchisee independently owned and operated under the Jack in the Box brand. It is important to note that this opportunity is offered by the independent franchisee, not by Jack in the Box Inc. As a result, all employment-related decisions such as hiring, wages, supervising, scheduling, and discipline will be handled by the franchisee. Jack in the Box is a well-established fast-food restaurant chain known for its quick service and quality menu offerings. The franchisee operates this location with a commitment to delivering the brand's core values and maintaining the high standards that guests expect from Jack in the Box.

The available role focuses on providing an exceptional guest experience by delivering excellent customer service, serving great tasting and high-quality food, and ensuring a clean and organized restaurant environment. The employee will perform tasks across one or more workstations following the procedures, systems, and standards set by Jack in the Box. This means consistently meeting the franchise's expectations for guest satisfaction based on a comprehensive set of guidelines.

The role emphasizes seven key areas of guest expectations: being well-trained, neat and well-groomed, friendly, well-staffed, delivering food that tastes great, providing consistent and quick service, and maintaining order accuracy and food safety. The employee will also serve as a brand ambassador for Jack in the Box, inspiring team members, embodying the brand's pride, and ensuring that guests are treated with care and respect. A significant part of the job includes greeting guests promptly, taking and correctly processing orders, assembling food items, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the restaurant’s interior and exterior.

Day-to-day duties can involve working the front line doing order taking and guest interaction, as well as handling food preparation including assembly and fryer stations. Responsibilities extend to managing inventory such as receiving and proper food storage as per safety guidelines. Job Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for 90-95 percent of shift

Job Duties

  • Immediately acknowledges and welcomes guests
  • Takes and clarifies orders
  • Assists guests with menu selection
  • Enters order in POS system
  • Collects money and makes change
  • Assembles orders and ensures accuracy
  • Maintains cleanliness and stocking of work area
  • Empties trash dogs and sweeps and mops floors
  • Cleans dining room tables, chairs, windows, and doors
  • Cleans and stocks restrooms
  • Cleans and maintains equipment including drink dispensers and POS equipment
  • Sweeps and picks up trash in parking lots, sidewalks, and drive-thru area
  • Reads video monitor and assembles products using correct ingredients and portioning
  • Measures and prepares ingredients for products
  • Prepares fryer products according to procedure
  • Receives and stores products on delivery
  • Performs other duties as assigned or directed
