This job opportunity is offered by a restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee of Jack in the Box, not by Jack in the Box Inc. The independent franchisee is your potential employer if hired and retains full responsibility for all employment matters within the restaurant. This includes decisions related to hiring, firing, discipline, wages, supervision, staffing, and scheduling. Jack in the Box is a well-known fast-food restaurant chain specializing in quick service and quality food, emphasizing guest satisfaction and restaurant cleanliness. The position requires you to work at one or more stations within the restaurant according to established Jack in the Box procedures, systems, standards, and guest expectations. This is a fast-paced job that demands a hassle-free approach to customer service, where team members always say "yes" to guests and follow the three-step approach to problem-solving: listen, apologize, and make it right. As a team member, you will be friendly, acknowledging guests with a smile and ensuring they feel welcome and valued by acting in accordance with the Jack in the Box Hospitality Model. Maintaining restaurant cleanliness is paramount, both inside and outside, and includes tasks like cleaning dining areas, restrooms, and windows, sweeping and picking up trash in the parking lot and drive-thru areas. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 16 years old
  • Ability to stand and walk approximately 90-95% of the shift
  • Ability to lift and carry 15-25 lbs
  • Ability to listen to guest orders and operate a cash register
  • Ability to read video monitors
  • Clear understanding of English
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, and multiplication

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Deliver an exceptional guest experience by providing excellent service
  • Maintain a clean restaurant environment including interior and exterior areas
  • Prepare and assemble food products according to company standards
  • Operate fryer and other kitchen equipment safely and effectively
  • Take and clarify orders, enter them into the POS system, and handle transactions accurately
  • Follow food safety policies and procedures including hand washing and glove use
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure order accuracy and timely service
  • Receive and properly store incoming products
  • Manage restaurant cleanliness tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and cleaning restrooms and dining areas
  • Handle guest complaints professionally and solve problems using the three-step process (Listen, Say Sorry, Make it Right)
  • Uphold uniform and grooming standards
  • Maintain stocked workstations and assist coworkers as needed
  • Follow restaurant policies regarding schedules, breaks, and timekeeping
