Job Description

This job opportunity is offered by an independent franchisee operating a Del Taco restaurant. Unlike corporate-owned locations, this restaurant is independently owned and managed, meaning the franchisee is your direct employer, responsible for all employment-related matters including hiring, firing, wages, supervision, and scheduling. Del Taco is a well-known fast-casual dining brand recognized for its Mexican-inspired menu offerings. The franchisee is committed to delivering excellent customer service and maintaining high standards of safety, cleanliness, and quality food preparation. Working in an independently owned Del Taco restaurant offers a unique experience where team members can contribute directly to the culture and success of their specific location.

As a Team Member at this Del Taco franchise, you will play a crucial role in shaping the guest experience by providing excellent service with a cheerful and helpful attitude. You will be part of a vibrant team that creates an exciting and optimistic atmosphere in the restaurant. Your responsibilities will range from greeting guests, accurately explaining menu items, handling point of sale transactions, adhering to food safety standards, to maintaining cleanliness throughout the restaurant. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, effective communication, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Your role is central to the restaurant’s success as Team Members directly impact guest satisfaction and operational efficiency. You will receive training to fully understand the menu and service protocols. The role also includes responsibilities such as maintaining professional appearance and grooming standards, making operational recommendations, and ensuring compliance with company policies. The position requires physical stamina as you will be standing and walking for most of your shift, and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds. While the job is designed to be rewarding and fun, it also holds team members accountable to the highest standards of hospitality and safety.

This is an ideal opportunity for individuals seeking entry-level positions in the food service industry who enjoy working with people and want to be part of a locally managed, team-oriented restaurant. The position is open to candidates who are at least 16 years old and preferably have a high school diploma or equivalent. Food Handler certification may be required depending on local regulations. Beyond the duties, the employer promotes equal employment opportunities and fosters an inclusive work environment free from discrimination and harassment. As a Team Member, you will be expected to uphold these values while delivering exceptional service.

Independently owned Del Taco restaurants stand apart because they combine the strength of a recognized brand with the agility and personal attention of a small business owner. These restaurants are integral parts of their communities, often participating in local events and initiatives. Working here means becoming part of a culture that values collaboration, respect, and continuous improvement. The franchisee is dedicated to providing you with the training and support necessary for you to succeed and enjoy your job. If you are enthusiastic, reliable, and eager to provide guests a memorable dining experience, this position is a great fit for you.
