This job opportunity is with an independently owned and operated Del Taco franchise, which means your employer will be the franchisee rather than Del Taco LLC itself. The franchisee is responsible for all employment-related matters including hiring, firing, discipline, wages, supervision, staffing, and scheduling, ensuring a unique and flexible work environment tailored to local community needs. Job Requirements

  • Ability to travel to assigned restaurant location
  • must be at least 16 years of age
  • high school diploma or equivalent is preferred
  • food handler certification may be required
  • ability to stand and walk for approximately 95-100% of shift
  • ability to bend, reach and lift and carry a maximum of 50 pounds

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks with effective follow-through
  • general knowledge of computers and POS systems desired
  • ability to perform basic business math skills
  • cash handling skills desired
  • excellent organizational skills
  • ability to communicate, develop and maintain effective relationships with colleagues, managers, partners and the public
  • ability to read, write and speak effectively in English

Job Duties

  • Deliver effective results in quality, guest service, safety, security, cleanliness and product preparation
  • exhibit a cheerful and helpful manner
  • demonstrate a complete understanding of menu items and explain them accurately to guests
  • use Point of Sale system and cash register to record orders and compute order amounts
  • collect payment from guests
  • understand and adhere to proper food handling, safety and sanitation standards
  • follow all company operation policies and procedures
  • make recommendations to enhance restaurant operations
  • maintain professional appearance and grooming standards
  • clean and maintain all areas of the restaurant to promote a clean image
