The Team Leader role at Jack in the Box serves as the first-line operational supervisor in the restaurant, playing a crucial leadership role in driving team performance and guest satisfaction. This includes ensuring the preparation of great-tasting, high-quality food that meets company standards, executing the 20/20 guest expectations model to enhance the overall customer experience, and maintaining full compliance with all Jack in the Box procedures, systems, and operational standards. The role requires a hands-on approach in overseeing daily operations while leading by example and supporting your team in handling customer orders, food preparation, and overall service execution. The Team Leader is also tasked with upholding company policies, ensuring a safe and positive work environment, and contributing to the development of team members by fostering effective communication and organizational skills. Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Completion of Team Leader training classes
- ServSafe certification where applicable
- Ability to speak, read, and write effectively in English
- Ability to stand and walk 90 to 95 percent of shift
- Ability to lift and carry 15 to 25 pounds
- Ability to listen to guests' orders and operate cash register
- Must be a self-starter who takes initiative and willingly accepts responsibility
- Ability to work with diverse groups of people
- Basic computer proficiency
Job Qualifications
- Six months consecutive experience at Jack in the Box with 100 percent certification in all workstations for internal promotes or one year supervisory experience in a restaurant or retail customer service environment
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Completion of Team Leader training classes
- ServSafe certification where applicable
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to perform and understand basic math concepts
- Good organization and planning skills
- Basic knowledge of personal computers and software applications
- Integrity and ethical behavior
- Ability to speak, read, and write effectively in English
- Ability to speak another language may be required based on restaurant location
