This role oversees the Prepared Foods Team across two locations, ensuring smooth and efficient operations that resemble well-oiled machines. The Prepared Foods Team Leader is tasked with inspiring Team Members and customers alike, encouraging discovery and enjoyment of food through expert guidance and enthusiasm about new products and offerings. This leadership role requires managing multiple responsibilities including coaching, mentoring, and developing staff, promoting a culture of mutual respect, diversity, and inclusion. Leaders are expected to conduct regular coaching sessions with timely feedback, address team issues such as conflict resolution and disciplinary actions, and foster a safe and secure work environment. The Team Leader also oversees operational aspects such as budgeting, inventory control, compliance with food safety standards, and achievement of sales and profit goals. By creating innovative plans and effectively communicating with merchandising teams, the leader helps set the stage for business success while maintaining excellent customer service.
This position requires a foundational retail experience, preferably supervisory or leadership within a similar environment, and a high school diploma or equivalent. Certification in Food Safety is mandatory, along with the capability to manage physical demands such as lifting up to 50 pounds.
