The role of Team Leader in Surgery at Delray Medical Center is a pivotal position that requires a highly skilled and collaborative healthcare professional. The Team Leader operates as a crucial link between physicians, anesthesia personnel, and the broader healthcare team to effectively assess and meet the unique preoperative needs of each patient. This leadership role is responsible for serving as the primary resource for instrumentation, equipment, supplies, and surgical procedures within their assigned surgical specialty. The Team Leader takes charge of planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care during the intraoperative phase, ensuring the delivery of safe and optimal surgical outcomes. This position demands hands-on expertise not only in the specialized surgical area but also in scrub and circulating duties to support comprehensive surgical team operations. Additionally, the Team Leader commits to participating in the designated on-call schedule to provide continuous and responsive surgical care.

Job Requirements
- Education recognized by the State of Florida as qualification for Registered Nurse licensure
- Current Florida RN license
- AHA BLS Certification
- AHA PALS Certification
- Prior clinical experience in area of expertise preferred
- CNOR Certification preferred

Job Duties
- Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia personnel, and healthcare team members to determine individual patient preoperative needs
- Serve as the main resource for instrumentation, equipment, supplies, and procedures within the surgical specialty
- Plan, implement, and evaluate the effectiveness of intraoperative patient care
- Perform scrub and circulating duties as necessary
- Participate in the assigned on-call schedule
- Ensure compliance with safety and infection control protocols
- Support and mentor surgical team members
