Job Description

Delray Medical Center, part of the Palm Beach Health Network, is a leading acute care hospital located in southern Palm Beach County, Florida. Established for over 40 years, it spans 30 acres and features 536 beds, employing more than 1,700 dedicated employees and 700 physicians. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Team Leader in Surgery to join our dynamic surgical team. This full-time, day-shift role is integral to the surgical department's success, requiring a collaborative approach with physicians, anesthesia personnel, and other healthcare team members to ensure each patient's individual preoperative needs are met with precision and care. The Team Leader serves as the primary resource for instrumentation, equipment, supplies, and procedural guidance within their assigned surgical specialty. This role also involves meticulous planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care throughout the intraoperative period to uphold the highest standards of safety and efficiency.

The ideal candidate will possess a current Florida RN license, accompanied by AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications. Preferably, the candidate holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and has prior clinical experience within the specialized area. CNOR certification is considered advantageous. This leadership position demands extensive knowledge of scrub and circulating duties, with an expectation to participate in the on-call schedule as assigned.
