Novolex is a leading manufacturer specializing in food, beverage, and specialty packaging solutions that serve a broad spectrum of industries including foodservice, restaurant delivery, carryout, food processing, grocery, retail, and industrial sectors. With extensive expertise in manufacturing and sourcing, Novolex offers a diverse range of substrate materials such as resin, paper, molded fiber, and aluminum to meet versatile packaging needs. Boasting an impressive portfolio of over 250 brands and more than 39,000 SKUs across 120 product categories, Novolex is a trusted partner for businesses seeking stock or customized packaging solutions. The company is deeply committed to sustainability, guided by its three-pillar vision focusing on their products, operations, and people. This commitment drives innovative initiatives aimed at reducing environmental impact while supporting company growth and future success. Novolex also values community engagement, supporting organizations focused on sustainability and food security, further exemplifying their dedication to social responsibility.
Novolex is currently hiring a Team Lead at their San Bernardino location for the 3rd shift (10:00 PM to 6:30 AM) with a fixed schedule that includes Mondays and Sundays off. This full-time role offers a starting pay rate of $22.34 per hour plus a $0.75 per hour shift differential and eligibility for a pay-for-skill program that rewards skill development and advancement. The Team Lead will play a vital role in overseeing daily operations on the shop floor, ensuring production efficiency, safety compliance, quality assurance, and effective team coordination. The position requires a hands-on leader who will spend most of their time on the floor while managing essential documentation and reporting duties. Responsibilities include directing team efforts to maintain safety standards and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), investigating and reporting incidents, ensuring quality compliance, and coaching team members. The Team Lead also collaborates closely with maintenance and tooling operations to minimize downtime and maintain continuous production flow.
This role demands strong organizational and communication skills, the ability to coach and train operators using published modules, and the capacity to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously. Proficiency with internal systems such as SAP, Insight, and Maintenance Connection, along with demonstrated computer competence including Excel spreadsheets and Microsoft Office programs, is essential. Novolex values detail-oriented professionals who demonstrate a positive attitude and can work effectively with colleagues at all organizational levels. The position offers significant opportunities for growth through ongoing training and development programs facilitated by Novolex's MyLearning platform. The company supports employees' formal education through tuition reimbursement and emphasizes employee well-being through comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance.
Joining Novolex as a Team Lead means working in a company that not only delivers high-quality packaging products but also fosters a culture of sustainability, safety, and community involvement. The company is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion, providing accommodations to applicants as needed. This role is an excellent opportunity for experienced leaders who seek a dynamic work environment where they can make substantial contributions to production excellence and team success while advancing their careers in the packaging industry.
