The hotel is part of the globally recognized Marriott International brand, which is dedicated to providing a welcoming and inclusive environment for all guests and associates. Marriott International is an industry leader in hospitality, continually innovating and setting high standards for customer service and employee satisfaction. The hotel is situated at 1201 Market Street, making it a convenient location for visitors looking to experience the vibrant culture and attractions of downtown Philadelphia.

The role on offer is a full-time, non-management position within the Food and Beverage & Culinary category, specifically at the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown. This position offers a competitive hourly pay rate of $24.53 to $25.53 and is tip eligible, making it an attractive opportunity for those passionate about delivering high-quality service in a dynamic environment. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of the dining areas, maintaining cleanliness, assisting guests, and supporting the management team in daily tasks.

As a team member, the individual will be responsible for supporting the overall guest experience by working closely with colleagues to provide timely and efficient service. This includes opening and closing duties such as setting up supplies, cleaning equipment and spaces, and securing the area at the end of the shift. The role requires vigilance in monitoring dining room conditions to ensure safety, comfort, and satisfaction of guests. The team member will also be tasked with identifying maintenance needs through work orders and escalating urgent repairs to the appropriate department.

In addition to operational duties, the position demands adherence to company policies including safety procedures and dress code standards. The employee must be proactive in reporting incidents, accidents, or unsafe conditions to management and participate in ongoing safety training and certifications. Personal presentation must be professional, reflecting the high standards of the Marriott brand.

Customer interaction is key in this role, requiring the individual to greet guests warmly, anticipate their needs, and offer assistance with genuine hospitality. The candidate will also be expected to foster positive relationships with coworkers, supporting teamwork to achieve collective goals. Communication skills are essential, as the job involves clear and professional interaction with guests, management, and team members.

Physical demands of the role include standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods, as well as manual tasks such as lifting, pushing, pulling, and manipulating objects up to 50 pounds. Flexibility and mobility are necessary to navigate various work areas, including confined spaces and stairs.

Overall, this position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a world-renowned hospitality brand with a focus on quality, teamwork, and guest satisfaction. It is ideal for individuals looking to start or grow their career in the hospitality industry under the supportive culture of Marriott International, a company committed to diversity, equal opportunity, and associate development.
