Job Description

Messer is a leading provider in the industrial gas sector, specializing in the delivery and supply of bulk gases to a wide range of customers including manufacturing, medical, and other critical industries. As one of the foremost companies in this field, Messer is known for its commitment to safety, reliability, and innovative technology solutions that help customers operate more sustainably, productively, and efficiently. The company’s emphasis on nurturing strong relationships—with customers, communities, and employees alike—sets it apart as a workplace that values dedication, knowledge, and a customer-centric approach.

Messer is currently hiring Bulk Team CDL-A Truck Drivers, a crucial role for ensuring the timely and safe delivery of industrial gases throughout assigned regions. This is a team driving position, meaning that two drivers share the responsibilities of operating bulk gas delivery vehicles. Team drivers are out on the road for four weeks before returning home for a week, offering a unique schedule designed to balance long stretches on the road with time off to recharge. This employment opportunity offers an attractive salary range between $115,000 and $125,000 per driver, along with a $7,500 sign-on bonus per driver, making it a financially rewarding position in the trucking industry.

In this role, Bulk Team CDL-A Truck Drivers at Messer will operate meticulously maintained, state-of-the-art commercial vehicles designed for the efficient transportation of bulk gases. Drivers must maintain high standards of professionalism while representing Messer to customers, ensuring that deliveries are made safely, timely, and in compliance with company policies as well as DOT regulations. The role demands a high degree of responsibility and adherence to safety principles, including following the Smith System of driving and acting in accordance with Messer’s rigorous safety culture.

Drivers will also be responsible for various loading and delivery tasks including product transfer, performing quality analyses, maintaining accurate delivery documentation, and interacting positively with customers. Messer prioritizes driver safety and development by providing extensive training—including innovative methods like virtual reality training—to set drivers up for success. Additionally, the company fosters career progression and advancement opportunities, making this role not just a job but a long-term career path.

The comprehensive benefits package available to these employees further enhances the attractiveness of this position. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, starting the first day of the month following the start of employment. Employees also have access to a 401(k) retirement plan with company match after one year. Paid time off (PTO), two weeks of vacation, and paid holidays support work-life balance. Moreover, Messer incentivizes safe driving with safety bonuses and offers a driver referral program with additional earning potential.

For those who hold a Class A Commercial Driver’s License with tanker and HAZMAT endorsements (HAZMAT preferred), and who have a minimum of one year tractor-trailer driving experience with a strong driving record, this job offers an excellent opportunity to join a company that is dedicated to safety, innovation, and employee growth. Applicants must have a team partner ready to work alongside them, reflecting the team-oriented nature of this position.

Messer is more than just another driving job; it’s a company deeply committed to its employees’ success and well-being. With steady schedules, appreciable pay, and an environment that fosters continuous training and career development, Messer offers drivers a chance to thrive while making an essential impact in the industrial gas supply chain. If you are ready to join a dynamic team that values safety, professionalism, and advancement, Messer encourages you to apply now and become part of a company where your work truly matters.
