Job Description
Forward is a reputable and dynamic transportation company specializing in over-the-road (OTR) freight delivery. Known for its commitment to driver satisfaction and operational excellence, Forward prides itself on offering robust career opportunities within the trucking industry. As a forward-thinking company, Forward provides dedicated lanes that guarantee consistency and dependability, which are vital for professional truck drivers seeking a reliable and well-structured work environment. With multiple terminal locations available, the company affords drivers the flexibility to operate in various regions while still maintaining predictable schedules and steady freight shipments. Forward utilizes modern equipment, including 2023 or newer Freightliner trucks, which are equipped with advanced amenities such as Auxiliary Power Units (APUs), inverters, and refrigerators to ensure driver comfort and performance on the road.
This job opening is for Team CDL-A Company Drivers who are interested in long-haul, dedicated routes. The position is tailored to teams that emphasize collaboration, safety, and maximizing mileage in a consistent manner. The dedicated lanes featured in this role emphasize drop hook freight operations, primarily focusing on terminal-to-terminal deliveries. Drop hook freight means that drivers can expect minimal delays during loading and unloading processes, thereby enhancing earnings potential by keeping trucks moving efficiently. Forward understands the importance of weekly home time, especially for team drivers, which allows for a healthier work-life balance without compromising on income potential. Currently, drivers can expect to average between 4,700 and 6,000 miles weekly, with pay rates recently increased to $0.78 per mile, translating to estimated annual earnings between $95,000 and $120,000. This role highlights predictable routes and consistent freight, two critical components that contribute to driver retention and satisfaction. Overall, Forward offers a comprehensive and industry-leading OTR company driver package that encompasses competitive compensation, access to new trucks equipped with driver-centric features, and an extensive benefits package designed to support drivers and their families.
