Job Description
Forward is a leading transportation and logistics company specializing in providing efficient and reliable freight solutions across the United States. With a strong commitment to safety, technology, and driver satisfaction, Forward has established itself as a trusted name in the trucking industry. The company operates a modern fleet of trucks and offers competitive compensation packages designed to attract and retain the best driving talent in the sector. Forward focuses on fostering a supportive work environment where drivers can thrive personally and professionally, with predictable routes and steady freight that enable consistent earnings and work-life balance.
The Team CDL-A Company Driver position at Forward is an excellent opportunity for professional drivers seeking consistency, strong mileage, and predictable home time. These dedicated over-the-road (OTR) lanes offer steady freight with guaranteed weekly miles ranging from 4,700 to 6,000 miles. Drivers working in teams will benefit from dedicated routes primarily consisting of drop hook, terminal-to-terminal freight, ensuring that they know what to expect each week while keeping their wheels turning efficiently. This role has recently seen an increase in the per-mile rate, further enhancing earning potential for drivers. Team drivers enjoy weekly home time, allowing for a healthy balance between work and personal life without sacrificing income. The company utilizes 2023 or newer Freightliner trucks, all equipped with amenities such as auxiliary power units (APUs), inverters, and refrigerators, designed to ensure driver comfort and vehicle efficiency.
Forward’s driver-focused approach extends beyond just mileage and routes. Team drivers receive one of the best OTR company driving packages in the industry, which includes comprehensive benefits such as affordable medical, dental, and vision insurance, with rates as low as $9 per week for medical coverage, $0 for dental, and $1 for vision. Additional benefits include flexible spending account (FSA) and health savings account (HSA) options for those enrolled in medical benefits, paid time off, an employer-matched 401(k) retirement plan, a safety bonus program rewarding drivers for maintaining high safety standards, and an employee stock purchase program that allows employees to invest in the company and share in its success.
This position is ideal for experienced CDL-A team drivers who are at least 23 years old and have a minimum of 12 months of verifiable tractor-trailer experience within the last three years. Hazmat endorsements are required to be obtained within the first 120 days of employment, allowing drivers to handle specialized freight and expand their skill set. Forward’s commitment to consistent routes, solid compensation, home time predictability, and comprehensive benefits makes this an outstanding opportunity for team drivers looking to advance their career in the trucking industry.
