Job Description

Forward is a reputable and rapidly growing transportation company specializing in over-the-road (OTR) freight solutions for team CDL-A company drivers. With a strong commitment to providing consistent and predictable home time, Forward understands the importance of work-life balance for professional drivers. Forward operates multiple terminal locations where dedicated lane operations are designed to offer stability, reliability, and efficiency in freight transportation. Known for its modern fleet and driver-focused approach, Forward offers opportunities for team drivers to engage in routes that provide steady freight, dependable schedules, and the financial rewards that come with high-mileage driving.

The company prides itself on designing routes with drivers in mind, ensuring that teams can rely on established runs and drop hook freight systems. This approach enables drivers to plan their weeks with confidence, knowing exactly what to expect and minimizing downtime. On average, teams can expect to drive between 4,700 and 6,000 miles weekly, translating into predictable earnings and consistent miles which are critical to professional drivers’ success and satisfaction.

This Team CDL-A Company Driver position is an excellent opportunity for those who want to maximize their earnings without sacrificing time at home. Forward has recently increased their per-mile compensation to $0.78 per mile, positioning the company competitively in the industry. Annual earnings for this position are estimated between $95,000 and $120,000, reflecting abundant earning potential backed by dedicated freight assignments. Additionally, weekly home time is part of the role, which supports drivers in maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

Drivers will operate late-model Freightliner trucks from 2023 or newer equipped with Driver Comfort features such as APUs (auxiliary power units), inverters, and refrigerators, helping them stay comfortable on the road. The terminal-to-terminal deliveries predominately rely on drop hook freight, meaning drivers spend less time waiting and more time driving. Forward’s dedication to safety, driver comfort, and operational excellence makes it an appealing choice for CDL-A team drivers looking to join a company where their work is valued and rewarded.

Forward also offers one of the most comprehensive and affordable benefits packages in the industry. Their medical, dental, and vision plans start as low as $9, $0, and $1 per week, respectively, making healthcare accessible and affordable. The benefits also include FSA and HSA accounts for medical participants, paid time off, and an employer-matched 401(k) program to help team drivers plan for the future. Other highlights of Forward’s benefits package include a safety bonus program that rewards safe driving and an employee stock purchase program that allows drivers to invest in the company. This benefits package reflects Forward’s commitment to supporting their drivers beyond the road and encouraging long-term employment and satisfaction.

This combined emphasis on competitive pay, steady freight, predictable scheduling, modern equipment, and affordable benefits makes the Forward Team CDL-A Company Driver role an outstanding choice for team drivers who value stability and strong earning potential. If you’re seeking a dedicated lane opportunity with a respected company that prioritizes driver welfare, Forward’s team driver program offers an ideal career path with the elements needed to succeed and thrive on the road.
