The role of Teacher-CTE Culinary Arts at Atlantic Technical College involves delivering a comprehensive curriculum designed to develop students’ skills in culinary arts while integrating critical thinking, application skills, interpersonal communication, and technology to meet district and state educational standards. This full-time exempt position is located in the vibrant city of Coconut Creek and follows a 196-day academic calendar. The teacher will play an essential role in creating and sustaining a classroom atmosphere that maintains high expectations and enthusiasm for learning.
Key responsibilities include utilizing assessment strategies aligned with curriculum standards to support continuous learner development, effective communication with students, parents, and stakeholders, engagement in professional development, and promoting critical and creative thinking. The teacher will also be expected to incorporate culturally appropriate instructional strategies, comply with education profession ethics and regulations, and foster a positive learning environment where students are actively engaged. Additionally, the position demands proficiency in planning, implementing, and evaluating instructional and assessment methods, utilizing technology effectively within teaching processes, and maintaining accurate records and property accountability.
The position requires appropriate state of Florida certification and computer skills relevant to the role, with bilingual skills preferred. Teachers will be expected to complete mandated ESOL training if assigned to Limited English Proficient students. Candidates should be prepared to uphold equal employment policies and safety protocols while adapting to additional responsibilities assigned by the principal. Job Requirements
