Job Description
Zen Educate is an innovative education staffing company dedicated to addressing the ongoing shortage of qualified educators in schools across the United States. By utilizing smart technology and a personalized approach, Zen Educate connects schools with passionate teaching assistants, paraprofessionals, and special education aides, ensuring students receive the support they need to thrive academically and socially. As a leader in education staffing, Zen Educate places a strong emphasis on matching staff skills with school requirements, resulting in effective, long-lasting partnerships that benefit both the educational community and the students served.
Joining Zen Educate means becoming part of a committed team working to foster inclusive learning environments where every student’s unique abilities are recognized and supported. This role is especially suited for individuals passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of children with special needs. Zen Educate is actively recruiting for paraeducator positions for the 2026/2027 school year, with roles commencing at the start of the new academic year. Candidates are encouraged to apply early to secure their placement, as assignments are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
The role of Special Education Aide at Zen Educate is vital to creating a nurturing classroom atmosphere that empowers students with diverse needs. These aides work one-on-one or in small groups with students requiring behavioral and emotional support, implementing individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs). Using evidence-based techniques such as positive reinforcement, de-escalation strategies, and proactive behavior supports, aides help students regulate emotions, build coping skills, and improve classroom engagement.
Collaboration is central to this role, as Special Education Aides partner closely with teachers, behavior specialists, and families to maintain consistent, supportive interventions. Documentation and data collection related to student behavior are critical components, enabling the team to adjust plans and approaches effectively. This position requires physical stamina and the ability to assist students safely, including lifting up to 20 pounds and remaining active throughout the school day.
Zen Educate offers competitive pay rates ranging from $24 to $28 per hour, with weekly pay periods and a standard Monday to Friday schedule, typically from 7:30 am to between 3:00 and 4:30 pm. This structure provides stability and work-life balance, making it an appealing opportunity for those committed to educating children with special needs. The company also supports professional growth by providing CPR and First Aid certification for qualified candidates lacking these credentials.
Through this role, candidates not only gain valuable experience in special education but also contribute positively to the academic journey and personal development of students facing unique challenges. Zen Educate’s commitment to excellence and inclusivity makes it a rewarding workplace for individuals dedicated to making a tangible impact in education.
