Job Description

Zen Educate is a technology-driven platform dedicated to transforming the educational staffing landscape by connecting schools with high-quality educators in a faster and more transparent manner. The company streamlines the hiring process for schools by matching educators to positions that fit their skill set, preferences, and availability, facilitating a smooth and efficient recruitment experience. By eliminating traditional barriers in the staffing system, Zen Educate enhances accessibility to educational opportunities for educators while supporting schools in building robust teaching teams. The company’s core mission focuses on creating a fairer and more effective educational staffing ecosystem that benefits schools, teachers, and ultimately, students. Zen Educate specializes in filling diverse educational roles, including paraprofessionals and classroom aides, particularly those dedicated to supporting special education students.

For the 2026-2027 academic year, Zen Educate is actively recruiting paraprofessionals and classroom aides to support special education classrooms. These roles are crucial in ensuring classroom operations run smoothly and that students receive the tailored support they need to thrive. The paraprofessionals and aides play an essential part in helping teachers focus on delivering instruction by managing behavioral challenges, assisting with personal care, and fostering positive social-emotional development among students. This opportunity offers applicants the chance to secure their role early for the upcoming school year starting in August 2026, allowing them to complete onboarding and demonstrate their capabilities before the busy fall season.

This position operates on a weekday schedule from 7:30 am to 3:00 or 4:30 pm, with no weekend work required, providing a balanced work-life environment. Compensation ranges from $20 to $23 per hour, paid weekly, reflecting the company’s commitment to fair pay. Employees also benefit from paid sick leave, a 401K plan (subject to eligibility), and professional development opportunities to stay current with advances in special education and behavioral support strategies. Zen Educate actively supports continuous learning through training sessions designed to equip paraprofessionals with the latest knowledge and techniques specific to their roles in special education classrooms.

By joining Zen Educate as a paraprofessional or classroom aide, individuals become part of a progressive team dedicated to making a meaningful impact on students’ lives. The role involves not only hands-on educational support but also strong collaboration with teachers, parents, and school staff to ensure consistent and effective interventions. Candidates must be able to stay calm and patient in challenging situations, provide one-on-one or small group support, and implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) or Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). There is also a physical component to the role, including assisting with personal care, helping students with hygiene, and safely lifting up to 20 pounds when necessary.

Zen Educate prioritizes hiring candidates with experience in supporting students with special educational needs, excellent communication skills, and a proactive, positive attitude. Preferred qualifications include experience with behavioral intervention strategies, ABA Therapy, Behavior Technician roles, CPR and First Aid certification, and training in CPI or Pro Act methods. Candidates must hold a high school diploma or equivalent, be English proficient, authorized to work in the U.S., and at least 18 years old. This employment opportunity provides meaningful, impactful work in an organized, supportive environment that values education, inclusion, and teamwork.
