The role of Tax Associate - TurboTax Store is a unique opportunity to join Intuit's dynamic team in new retail locations dedicated to delivering high-quality tax services. This seasonal position combines tax expertise, entrepreneurial spirit, and community engagement into one impactful role. As a Tax Associate, you will serve as a trusted advisor to customers, helping them navigate their tax returns, provide tax advice, and maximize financial outcomes while upholding Intuit’s mission. You will work onsite at one of the TurboTax locations, where you will be the friendly face of TurboTax, growing the client base within your local community and nurturing long-term relationships through exceptional service and proactive outreach.

Your daily responsibilities will include both in-person and virtual interactions with customers using Intuit’s state-of-the-art video communication tools and TurboTax software. You will provide full-service tax return preparation for a variety of tax situations, ranging from simple to complex cases—including personal and business income, deductions optimization, and amendments. Leveraging your tax expertise, you will uncover potential deductions, minimize liabilities, and offer forward-looking tax planning advice tailored to each customer’s unique circumstances. Your ability to communicate tax concepts clearly and compassionately will help reduce the stress commonly associated with tax season.

This nonexempt role offers flexible scheduling options, with a requirement to work onsite for a minimum of 20 hours per week, including weekends, reflecting the operating hours of these retail locations that scale with customer demand. Ideal candidates will possess professional credentials such as Enrolled Agent (EA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or practicing attorney licenses with extensive tax preparation experience and knowledge of tax laws. Holding an active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN) and relevant state licenses is mandatory. Candidates should be comfortable wearing a TurboTax uniform and working in a public-facing retail environment. Bilingual abilities (English/Spanish) and experience in holistic tax advisory services will be beneficial but are not essential.
