Job Description

Intuit is a globally recognized leader in financial software, dedicated to powering prosperity around the world. Known primarily for its innovative tax preparation software, such as TurboTax, Intuit has revolutionized how millions of individuals and small businesses manage their finances and tax obligations. The company is committed to delivering accessible, accurate, and user-friendly financial solutions that empower customers to achieve their financial goals. Intuit operates in a rapidly evolving digital economy and emphasizes technology, innovation, and customer-centric services. Their approach extends beyond software to include personalized support and education to help users navigate the complexities of taxes confidently.

This role of Tax Associate at TurboTax Store offers an exciting opportunity to join Intuit’s dynamic team on a seasonal basis at one of the new TurboTax locations across the United States. The position is designed for highly motivated individuals with a passion for tax expertise, community engagement, and entrepreneurial spirit. Tax Associates serve as trusted advisors and community ambassadors, helping customers understand their tax needs and optimize their financial outcomes. Working onsite at a local TurboTax store, these associates will play a crucial role in growing TurboTax’s client base by actively engaging with new prospects, nurturing leads, and driving customer loyalty through personalized service.

Tax Associates provide comprehensive tax return preparation and advice, handling both simple and complex tax situations involving personal and business income, deductions optimization, amendments, and future tax planning. They utilize various tools, including TurboTax software, government resources, and professional expertise, to deliver accurate solutions in everyday language, thereby reducing the stress often associated with tax filing. This role requires strong interpersonal skills to build genuine relationships with clients and offer a best-in-class customer experience. Associates interact with clients both in-person and virtually through state-of-the-art communication tools, addressing inquiries and overcoming tax-related challenges.

The position offers flexibility with seasonal and year-round employment opportunities, allowing candidates to find a schedule that aligns with their career goals and availability. Tax Associates will also leverage local marketing initiatives and participate in community events to boost TurboTax’s visibility and accessibility. Intuit supports its associates with marketing resources and a collaborative environment that fosters professional growth and economic empowerment.

Competitive compensation is offered, with base pay ranges varying by location, along with cash bonuses, equity rewards, and comprehensive benefits. The role requires a minimum 20-hour weekly onsite presence at a TurboTax retail or flagship location and a commitment to wearing the TurboTax uniform and working in a customer-facing retail environment. Ideal candidates possess active credentials such as EA, CPA, or practicing attorney licenses, a valid Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN), relevant experience filing numerous tax returns per season, and familiarity with tax laws including Circular 230.

This role is ideal for professionals passionate about taxes, committed to serving their community, entrepreneurial, and eager to build long-term client relationships using technology and personal engagement to deliver exceptional financial outcomes. Being a TurboTax Tax Associate means not only applying tax expertise but also actively contributing to Intuit’s mission of powering prosperity across communities nationwide.
