Job Description

Intuit is a leading financial software company known for its commitment to powering prosperity around the world. With flagship products such as TurboTax, QuickBooks, and Mint, Intuit empowers individuals, small businesses, and the self-employed to manage their finances effectively and confidently. The company integrates innovative technology with user-friendly design to deliver cutting-edge solutions that simplify complex financial tasks. Founded on the principle of making financial prosperity accessible to all, Intuit continuously invests in its people, technology, and customer experience to maintain its position as a trusted partner for millions of users globally.

TurboTax is a flagship tax preparation software product from Intuit that has revolutionized the way individuals handle their tax filing. Recognizing the importance of local presence and personalized service during tax season, Intuit has launched new TurboTax Store locations across the United States. These physical retail spaces offer direct customer engagement and hands-on tax advisory services, creating a unique blend of technology and personal touch. The Tax Associate role at TurboTax Store is a key position within this innovative retail initiative, combining tax expertise with entrepreneurial spirit and community engagement.

As a Tax Associate at a TurboTax Store, you will be employed on a seasonal basis, though year-round opportunities are available, depending on your availability and career goals. This nonexempt role requires working onsite at one of the TurboTax retail or flagship locations across the United States, providing both in-person and virtual tax services. The position offers competitive compensation, including a base pay dependent on location, eligibility for cash bonuses, equity rewards, and benefits that align with Intuit’s comprehensive employee programs. For instance, wages vary regionally, with ranges like $25.50 to $28.50 per hour in states such as California, Massachusetts, New York, and Washington, ensuring fair pay aligned with cost of living and market standards.

In this role, you will serve as a proactive community ambassador for TurboTax, using your tax knowledge and interpersonal skills to build and nurture long-term relationships with clients. You will be a trusted advisor, helping customers navigate both simple and complex tax situations, optimize deductions, minimize liabilities, and plan for future tax implications. Utilizing both in-person interaction and state-of-the-art video communication tools, you will deliver personalized and professional service to a diverse customer base.

Your responsibilities extend beyond preparation and filing; you will engage with the local community through events, marketing initiatives, and social media presence to foster awareness and trust in TurboTax services. Armed with your credentials—be it EA, CPA, or as a practicing attorney—you will provide expert advice grounded in extensive knowledge of tax laws and current regulations. You will also leverage professional resources, government websites, and Intuit's proprietary tools to ensure accuracy and compliance.

The ideal candidate is not only technically skilled but also entrepreneurial and service-oriented, passionate about empowering customers to achieve their financial goals and excited to be a visible face of TurboTax in their local community. This role requires adaptability, excellent communication, technology proficiency, and a genuine drive to contribute positively to both the business and your neighbors.
