Deloitte is a globally recognized professional services firm known for its excellence in consulting, auditing, tax, and advisory services. With a strong commitment to innovation and quality, Deloitte has built a reputation as a trusted advisor to a diverse range of clients, including multinational corporations, governments, and nonprofit organizations. The company fosters a collaborative and inclusive working environment that empowers employees to thrive and develop their careers. Deloitte's Business Tax Services practice is especially notable for providing specialized tax solutions tailored to the needs of various industries and sectors. Among these, the Tax-Exempt practice stands out as a critical area dedicated to assisting nonprofit clients in navigating complex tax landscapes and optimizing their fiscal strategies.

The Tax Manager role within Deloitte's Business Tax Services Tax-Exempt practice offers an exceptional opportunity for federal tax professionals who are passionate about working with tax-exempt organizations. This position is designed for individuals who enjoy solving intricate tax issues, providing comprehensive tax compliance and consulting services, and engaging with clients who actively contribute to community betterment through philanthropic endeavors. As a Tax Manager, you will devote a significant portion of your time—potentially up to 100 percent—to serving a variety of nonprofit clients, including healthcare providers, private foundations, public charities, higher education institutions, and other nonprofit entities.

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering expert tax compliance and consulting services such as restructuring, acquisition planning, tax controversy, philanthropic tax planning, and unrelated business tax consulting. You will directly interact with sophisticated clients, managing tax engagement teams and leveraging an elite group of specialists when specialized expertise is needed. Deloitte provides a robust support system through firm leadership to ensure your success both in your current role and your long-term career development.

The role also encourages collaboration within Deloitte's nationwide Tax-Exempt team, offering rich opportunities to connect and exchange knowledge with fellow tax professionals dedicated to nonprofit sectors. This team benefits from the resources of Deloitte's Global Center for Excellence in Philanthropy, a multidisciplinary group offering advisory and consulting services to innovative individuals, companies, and nonprofits striving to drive societal change. As part of this community, you will contribute meaningfully to shaping tax strategies for some of the world’s most sophisticated donors and nonprofit organizations.

Working with Deloitte means being part of a world-class organization that values continuous learning, professional growth, and making a positive impact on society. The Tax Manager position is hybrid, requiring co-location in person for 2-3 days per week, reflecting the company's commitment to flexible yet collaborative work environments. The role offers a competitive salary range estimated between $107,925 and $205,000, depending on factors such as experience, skill set, licensure, certifications, and organizational needs. Additionally, you may be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program based on individual and organizational performance.

Overall, this position is ideal for tax professionals seeking a challenging and rewarding career path focused on nonprofit organizations. If you have a strategic mindset, strong technical skills, and a passion for helping organizations that improve communities, Deloitte's Tax-Exempt practice offers an unmatched platform to advance your career and make a meaningful impact.
