The Tax Manager role at Aprio Advisory Group, LLC is a key leadership position within the Client Accounting Services team. This role entails managing and guiding a team of tax professionals while delivering high-quality advisory and compliance solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing effective tax strategies, ensuring compliance with ever-changing regulations, and providing expert consultation on complex tax matters such as mergers and acquisitions as well as corporate restructuring. The position requires staying abreast of legislative changes through detailed tax research, overseeing tax return preparation and review, and maintaining strong communication and collaborative relationships with clients, regulatory authorities, and internal stakeholders. In addition to client management, the Tax Manager will play a vital role in mentoring and training team members, ensuring continuous professional growth and fostering a supportive team environment.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting
  • Six or more years of federal tax consulting and or compliance experience
  • Recent public accounting firm experience
  • CPA preferred
  • Experience managing a team
  • Knowledge of tax software and technology
  • Strong communication skills
  • Willingness to work hybrid
  • Master's degree in taxation preferred

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting
  • Master's degree in taxation preferred
  • Recent experience in a public accounting firm
  • Six or more years of federal tax consulting and or compliance experience
  • CPA preferred
  • Experience in S-Corp, partnership returns, and individual returns
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Computer expertise including knowledge of tax software and technology
  • Experience managing a team
  • Willingness to work in a hybrid environment
