Job Description

Among its flagship offerings is TurboTax, a powerful tax preparation software that has revolutionized how individuals and small businesses handle their tax filing. Intuit’s mission is to power prosperity around the world by delivering easy-to-use, efficient financial tools that empower customers to make informed financial decisions. With a culture that fosters innovation, community engagement, and a strong customer focus, Intuit is committed to providing opportunities for talented professionals to grow and make a meaningful impact.

The Tax Associate - TurboTax Store role is a unique and dynamic seasonal or year-round position based at one of Intuit’s new TurboTax retail locations throughout the United States. This role combines tax expertise with entrepreneurial skills and community involvement, focusing on both attracting new customers and delivering exceptional tax-related services. The Tax Associate acts as a trusted advisor to clients, helping them navigate their complex tax situations and achieve positive financial outcomes. As an ambassador of TurboTax, the associate represents Intuit’s brand locally, engaging with the community through events, marketing efforts, and personalized service.

In this position, the associate works on-site in a front-facing retail environment, providing hands-on tax preparation services for both simple and complex tax returns involving personal and business incomes, deductions, amendments, and future tax planning. The role requires building strong customer relationships, utilizing TurboTax software and marketing tools, and educating clients to reduce the stress often associated with tax preparation. Associates interact with customers in person and virtually, offering professional tax advice and exceptional customer experiences.

This opportunity is ideal for candidates with active credentials such as EA, CPA, or practicing attorneys with extensive tax knowledge and experience. They must have the ability to handle a fast-paced workflow, demonstrate high empathy, and possess excellent communication and technology skills. Associates also build a local and online presence, helping Intuit maintain strong community ties.

Compensation for the position is competitive and varies by location, ranging from approximately $22.00 to $28.50 per hour depending on the state, with additional eligibility for cash bonuses, equity rewards, and benefits. The role requires at least 20 hours per week with flexible scheduling options during peak tax seasons, reflecting Intuit’s commitment to work-life balance. This position presents a significant opportunity for motivated tax professionals to expand their careers in a supportive, innovative environment while making a positive impact in customers’ lives and communities.
