Intuit is currently seeking highly motivated and entrepreneurial individuals to join its dynamic team as Tax Associates at the TurboTax Store locations across the United States on a seasonal or year-round basis. This role is an exciting opportunity for tax professionals who are passionate about community engagement, client relationship building, and providing comprehensive tax services leveraging TurboTax's cutting-edge software and marketing support. As a Tax Associate, you will serve as a vital connection between TurboTax and the local community, acting as a trusted advisor who helps customers navigate various tax complexities while driving customer loyalty and growing the client base. This position requires onsite presence at TurboTax retail or flagship stores and offers flexibility in scheduling to fit your availability and career goals.

In this role, you will engage directly with customers both in-person and virtually by utilizing state-of-the-art video communication tools. You will provide thorough tax return preparation services for simple to complex tax situations, including personal and business income reporting, deductions optimization, amendments, and future tax planning advice. Your expertise will be critical in conducting discovery sessions to uncover every applicable deduction, minimize tax liabilities, and maximize refunds for your clients. By leveraging professional tools, government resources, and ongoing team expertise, you will deliver exceptional tax solutions communicated in clear, accessible language to reduce the common stress associated with tax season.

The Tax Associate role goes beyond traditional tax preparation. You will be a proactive community ambassador, actively representing TurboTax at local events, conducting outreach to convert prospects into loyal clients, and making tax topics approachable and understandable. This entrepreneurial role requires a hands-on approach to building and nurturing a client portfolio, coupled with an enthusiastic passion for empowering customers and creating a lasting impact in your community. This nonexempt position requires a minimum commitment of 20 hours per week onsite, with hours scaling during peak demand periods, including weekends and evenings. Tax Associates must possess valid professional credentials—such as Enrolled Agent (EA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or experience as a Practicing Attorney with strong tax preparation knowledge—and maintain all necessary licenses and Preparer Tax Identification Numbers (PTIN). Bilingual skills, especially English and Spanish, are a plus and can enhance community engagement efforts.
