Job Description

Intuit is a leading financial software company renowned for its commitment to powering prosperity around the world by delivering innovative and easy-to-use solutions to millions of customers. At the forefront of tax preparation technology, Intuit's TurboTax is a trusted platform that helps individuals and small businesses navigate the complexities of tax filing. Intuit operates with a mission to simplify financial lives by offering user-friendly, reliable, and effective tax services. Having established itself as a global leader, Intuit invests heavily in community engagement, customer empowerment, and technological advancements to maintain its competitive edge and customer loyalty.

Now, Intuit is seeking highly motivated individuals to join its vibrant team as Tax Associates in newly launched TurboTax Store locations across the United States. This position offers an exciting seasonal opportunity where entrepreneurial spirit meets tax expertise and community engagement. The Tax Associate role is designed to be dynamic and customer-centric, focusing on building and nurturing long-lasting client relationships within local communities. Tax Associates serve as trusted advisors who assist customers both in-person and virtually by leveraging TurboTax's comprehensive software solutions and marketing resources.

As a Tax Associate at TurboTax Store locations, you will be working on-site at a retail or flagship store, playing a pivotal role in expanding TurboTax’s client base while directly contributing to the financial well-being of your local community. The role uniquely combines direct customer service with business development responsibilities; you will proactively represent TurboTax within your community by engaging potential clients, participating in local events, and facilitating educational outreach to demystify tax-related topics. Your ability to personalize each customer interaction will enhance trust and loyalty, transforming a transactional experience into an ongoing relationship.

In this position, you will provide full-service tax preparation, advice, and software support. Your comprehensive tax expertise will be critical in handling a broad range of tax scenarios — from straightforward personal filings to complex business income cases, deductions optimization, and amendments. Through discovery sessions and tax reviews, you will help clients uncover eligible deductions, minimize liabilities, and maximize refunds, while also advising on future tax planning strategies. You will use trusted resources like government websites, professional tools, and team collaboration to deliver clear, accurate, and accessible tax guidance.

The role demands excellent interpersonal skills, empathy, and the ability to simplify complex financial concepts. You will be responsible for creating a best-in-class customer experience by helping clients achieve broader financial goals such as saving for retirement, funding education, or planning significant life events. You will interact with clients through both face-to-face engagement and Intuit’s cutting-edge video communication tools, ensuring accessibility and convenience.

Employment in this role is nonexempt and requires a minimum onsite presence of 20 hours per week during the tax season, with schedules designed to accommodate availability and peak demand periods. Intuit offers competitive hourly compensation which varies based on location, coupled with performance-based rewards, cash bonuses, equity incentives, and a comprehensive benefits package. This role also suits individuals excited about leveraging social media and other platforms to build a local presence, share educational content, and represent TurboTax in local and national marketing campaigns.

Joining Intuit as a Tax Associate means becoming part of an industry-leading team driven by innovation, customer dedication, and community focus. This opportunity is ideal for tax professionals who are passionate about making taxpayers’ lives easier, enjoy entrepreneurial challenges, and thrive in a fast-paced, customer-oriented environment. With a strong emphasis on growth, empowerment, and collaboration, working with Intuit provides a fulfilling career path and a chance to contribute meaningfully to community prosperity.
