The role of Tax Expert - TurboTax Store at Intuit is an exciting seasonal opportunity that provides tax professionals with a platform to serve communities through in-person and virtual consultations at newly opened TurboTax locations nationwide. This position is for those who want to combine their tax expertise with entrepreneurial skills to drive customer acquisition and loyalty. The Tax Expert acts as a trusted advisor, helping customers successfully navigate their tax returns and financial planning needs. This is a nonexempt position requiring presence at the retail locations and includes both seasonal and year-round engagements based on the candidate’s availability.

As a Tax Expert, you will engage locally as a community ambassador for TurboTax, building genuine connections and fostering customer relationships that convert prospects into long-term clients. You will leverage TurboTax’s marketing resources and industry-leading software to provide comprehensive tax services ranging from basic to complex tax returns, including business income, deductions optimization, and amendments. Your role will extend beyond tax preparation to tax planning advice and client education, ensuring customers walk away empowered and confident.

The position is designed for those with credentials such as EA, CPA, or Practicing Attorney status with strong tax preparation experience, and requires active PTIN and related state licenses or permits. Intensive knowledge of tax laws and familiarity with Circular 230 are essential. The job entails working a minimum of 20 hours per week on-site throughout varied hours including weekends, tailored to peak tax season demands. Candidates will also have the opportunity to build a social media presence to educate and engage their local community further.
