Job Description
Intuit is a leading financial software company dedicated to powering prosperity around the world. Known for its flagship product, TurboTax, Intuit provides innovative technology-driven solutions that help individuals and businesses manage their financial and tax-related needs efficiently. Intuit’s commitment to customer success and financial empowerment is reflected in its culture of innovation, community engagement, and strong support for its workforce. The company boasts a competitive work environment where employees are encouraged to grow professionally while contributing to an important mission of expanding financial knowledge and prosperity.
The Tax Expert - TurboTax Store role is a seasonal or year-round opportunity based at one of Intuit’s new TurboTax retail locations across the United States. This position blends tax expertise with entrepreneurial spirit and community-focused engagement, allowing the Tax Expert to act as a trusted advisor to customers seeking tax preparation and advice. Working on-site, Tax Experts use TurboTax technology and marketing support to grow their client base within local communities, effectively building long-term relationships and driving customer loyalty.
This position is ideal for professionals who have an active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN) and are credentialed as Enrolled Agents (EA), Certified Public Accountants (CPA), or practicing attorneys with strong tax preparation experience. You will use your extensive knowledge of tax laws to assist customers in filing both simple and complex tax returns, including those involving personal and business income, deductions, and amendments. Your role also involves proactive outreach in the community to attract new clients and help existing customers maximize their refunds and minimize tax liabilities. You will lead local community events with TurboTax support, making taxes accessible and approachable while enhancing TurboTax’s presence.
In addition to technical tax preparation, this role emphasizes delivering exceptional customer experiences. Personal connection and empathy are critical elements as you help customers navigate the stress and complexity of tax filing. Communication will be both in-person at TurboTax locations and virtually via video tools provided by Intuit, allowing flexible and responsive service. The position is fast-paced and requires someone who is self-driven, entrepreneurial, and passionate about community engagement and customer advocacy.
This role requires a minimum commitment of 20 hours per week, with the flexibility to work Sunday through Saturday, particularly during peak tax season. It also offers robust pay for performance rewards, including base pay that varies by state, plus potential cash bonuses, equity rewards, and benefits. Intuit values diversity and inclusion and strives for pay equity across ethnicity and gender. This opportunity is well-suited for motivated tax professionals looking to build a local and online presence while making a meaningful impact in their community's financial wellness.
