The Tasting Room Helper/Assistant position at WFE serves a critical role in providing an exceptionally high level of customer service within the tasting room and sales environments. This role supports Wine Sales Ambassadors by performing vital customer service duties such as assisting guests with their wine purchases, including carrying out and delivering wine to vehicles, helping with packing, and ensuring that every guest’s experience exceeds expectations. The role involves maintaining the tasting and wine rooms with neatness and order, restocking wine and merchandise, and supporting special events and hospitality functions. Tasting Room Helpers actively participate in setting up and tearing down tasting room special events, assisting with shipping orders and labeling, maintaining wine inventory by vintage and varietal, and organizing supplies in the stock room. Candidates for this role need to be physically capable of standing and walking for extended periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and preferably have forklift experience. The position also demands manual dexterity and communication skills to operate equipment and interact effectively with guests and team members. Employees in this role are expected to display a professional demeanor, multitask efficiently, and work safely while upholding high standards of hospitality. This role requires availability for a minimum of three shifts per week, including weekends and certain holidays, making it well-suited for dedicated professionals who thrive in dynamic, guest-facing environments. Job Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for potentially long periods of time
- ability to lift 50 lbs
- manual dexterity and vision sufficient to operate a computer or i-pad for extended periods
- hearing sufficient to understand conversations in person and on the telephone
- coordination sufficient to operate office machines including fax machines, calculators, telephones, computers, and scanners
- forklift experience preferred

Job Duties
- Ensure all guests are greeted and receive a positive and memorable experience
- perform customer service duties including curbside wine pick up such as carrying out, delivering and packing wine purchases
- carry out purchases to customer vehicles
- support special events and hospitality functions
- replenish wine and merchandise stock
- clean and straighten the retail area to maintain a neat appearance
- work on special projects as directed
- stock wine in wine room and tasting room by vintage and varietal following room specific policies
- rotate stock in wine room
- maintain a neat, clean and orderly wine room
- stock shipper boxes
- change linen bag
- keep supplies organized including bags, boxes, gift packs, and 6 pack carriers
- assist with shipping orders and labeling
- assist with arranging and maintaining tasting room displays
- work tasting room special events and assist with setup and tear down
- ensure tasting room areas are neat, clean and orderly including patio, tasting room, kitchen, and restrooms
- restock 6 pack carriers and cases in tasting room
- refill water
- understand and assist with maintaining storage safety procedures
- assist with tasting room janitorial needs
- follow all safety protocols
- fully understand and follow the mission statement and operating values
