The role of Tasting Room Associate at Willamette Valley Vineyards is a part-time position offering competitive pay, including a tip pool, and generous discounts on wine, dining, and merchandise. Tasting Room Associates serve as brand ambassadors, delivering a memorable guest journey by providing exceptional wine guidance, sharing the winery’s history and winemaking stories, and facilitating sales of wine and memberships. Weekend availability and prior serving experience are required, ensuring associates are well-prepared to contribute to a smooth and welcoming tasting environment.

In this position, you will engage closely with guests to create an unforgettable tasting experience by warmly greeting visitors, educating them on wines and winemaking processes, and promoting wine sales and club memberships. Beyond pouring wine, you will support additional hospitality duties such as taking and serving food orders, assisting with special events and monthly Pairings Dinners, maintaining a clean and organized tasting room, and ensuring all transactions are processed accurately. Job Duties

  • Greet guests warmly and provide a memorable tasting experience
  • describe wines, winemaking techniques and winery history through unique stories and promote wine sales and wine club memberships
  • take food and wine orders from guests
  • assist in serving food, supporting events, and maintaining a sustainable environment
  • handle routine purchasing transactions including guest account accuracy and processing shipping orders
  • perform daily opening and closing procedures
  • maintain supply of clean polished glasses and assist in keeping wine storage and tasting room organized and properly maintained
  • expedite and run food to tables in absence of a food runner
  • assist with on-site events and monthly Pairings Dinners
  • assist with other duties as necessary or requested
  • support company s effort to create a more sustainable, cross-cultural, and green environment
