Job Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Minimum of two years of relevant experience
- Experience with inventory controls including food, beverage, kitchen supplies, utensils, and waste management
- Experience scheduling a staff of 15 or more
- Excellent verbal, written, and graphic communication skills
- Strong organizational skills

Job Duties
- Collaborate with other personnel to plan and develop recipes and menus, considering seasonal availability and customer volume
- Plan, direct, and supervise food preparation, purchasing, and cooking activities across multiple kitchens or restaurants
- Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas to ensure adherence to standards and arrange for necessary equipment purchases and repairs
- Check the quality of raw and cooked food products to meet established standards
- Monitor sanitation practices and ensure staff compliance with health regulations
- Record production and operational data accurately on specified forms
- Estimate supply needs and costs, including food and ingredients, and order required materials
- Conduct inventory according to established procedures and verify the quantity and quality of received products
- Prepare and cook food for regular menus and special functions
- Manage personnel decisions such as hiring and firing in consultation with management
- Supervise and coordinate activities of kitchen staff and instruct them in food preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation
- Determine production schedules and staff requirements to ensure timely service delivery
- Perform additional functions as required to meet fluctuating demands and maintain exceptional service standards
- Adapt responsibilities and duties as necessary based on operational reviews and business needs
