Job Description

Landing is a leading company in the flexible living space with a robust network spanning over 35 markets and thousands of apartments across the United States. Since its inception in 2019, Landing has revolutionized modern living by eliminating traditional barriers such as deposits and unnecessary hassle, providing convenient and flexible housing options to a vast and diverse customer base. As a fast-growing enterprise, Landing operates in a dynamic environment where priorities frequently shift, and no two days are the same. The company prides itself on its ability to adapt quickly, respond to market needs, and deliver superior living experiences through their innovative, user-friendly platform.

The Task Force Manager role at Landing is a crucial market coverage and operations position that requires a strategic, hands-on leader who can effectively manage entire markets during critical periods. Task Force Managers deploy to various Landing markets across the country depending on business needs and fill in as the sole operator when a General Manager is on leave. This position demands full ownership of all aspects of market operations, including member experience, property relationships, housekeeping and maintenance coordination, unit quality, and performance reporting. Covering operations for one to three weeks per assignment, the Task Force Manager must sustain key account relationships, manage vendor coordination, and ensure smooth transitions at the start and end of each market assignment.

Candidates for this role are expected to bring prior experience managing hotels, short-term rental portfolios, or high-volume hospitality operations. Comfort with fast-paced environments, making prompt decisions under pressure, and building rapport quickly with new team members and stakeholders is essential. This role involves significant travel, roughly 80 percent of the time, so being based near a major hub like Denver is advantageous for rapid deployment. The Task Force Manager operates without ramp-up time, stepping directly in to optimize market performance and member satisfaction.

This opportunity is ideal for individuals who thrive in operational leadership roles that demand autonomy, strong organizational skills, and the ability to juggle multiple responsibilities simultaneously. Success in this role means ensuring that each market under your coverage maintains high standards for member experience, vendor relations, unit quality, and market growth while supporting seamless transitions between on-site leadership. Landing offers competitive compensation, including a $75,000 base salary and stock options, plus a comprehensive benefits package that supports employee well-being and professional growth. With a culture of internal promotion, this position also presents significant room for upward mobility within Landing's field operations management team.
