The role of Task Force General Manager at Embergrove Hospitality is a pivotal leadership position designed for a dynamic, experienced professional ready to handle the operational challenges and opportunities across multiple properties. This is a full-time, leadership role that requires extensive travel, typically between 75 to 100 percent, supporting hotels nationwide. The Task Force General Manager acts as a strategic agent, deployed to properties that require transitional leadership, enhanced operational performance, renovation oversight, new openings, or temporary management coverage. The position demands a flexible approach and a strong business acumen to stabilize and elevate hotel operations while mentoring and cultivating property leadership teams.

In this role, the Task Force General Manager will oversee all facets of hotel operations including Rooms Division, Food and Beverage services, Sales, Engineering, and Housekeeping functions. They will be responsible for driving financial results through vigilant budgeting, forecasting, labor management, and expense control. Ensuring compliance with brand standards, safety protocols, and company policies is essential.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a hotel General Manager
  • willingness and ability to travel up to 75-100 percent
  • strong knowledge of PMS, revenue management systems, and hotel financial reporting
  • excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • ability to work in fast-paced and dynamic environments
  • experience managing full hotel operations including Rooms Division, F&B, Sales, Engineering, and Housekeeping
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a hotel General Manager
  • multi-brand experience preferred (Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, IHG, etc.)
  • proven ability to improve operational and financial performance
  • strong knowledge of PMS, revenue management systems, and hotel financial reporting
  • excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • willingness and ability to travel up to 75-100 percent as business needs require
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred

Job Duties

  • Provide interim General Manager leadership at assigned properties
  • stabilize and improve hotel performance in revenue, guest satisfaction, and team engagement
  • oversee full hotel operations including Rooms Division, F&B (where applicable), Sales, Engineering, and Housekeeping
  • drive financial results through budgeting, forecasting, labor management, and expense control
  • ensure compliance with brand standards, safety protocols, and company policies
  • recruit, train, coach, and mentor property leadership teams
  • support hotel transitions, acquisitions, renovations, and new openings
  • deliver consistent communication and reporting to corporate leadership
