Job Description

ABM is one of the world’s largest providers of facility services and solutions. Established in 1909, ABM has grown to support over 20,000 clients worldwide with annualized revenues nearing $8 billion. Operating out of more than 350 offices across the United States, United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland, and other international locations, ABM is a driving force committed to creating cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable spaces. Their comprehensive service offerings include janitorial, engineering, parking, electrical and lighting, energy and electric vehicle charging infrastructure, HVAC and mechanical, landscape and turf, and mission-critical solutions. ABM serves a broad spectrum of industries, such as commercial office buildings, universities, airports, hospitals, data centers, manufacturing plants, distribution centers, and entertainment venues, showcasing their versatile and far-reaching impact. As a military-friendly employer, ABM actively encourages veterans and candidates with military experience to apply. The company's dedication to diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity ensures qualified applicants are evaluated without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or veteran status.

The role of the Shuttle Driver at ABM provides essential transportation services that facilitate the daily movement of passengers to and from designated locations, such as airports, commercial buildings, hospitals, sports arenas, entertainment venues, educational facilities, or warehouses. The position offers part-time employment for 32 hours per week, with a schedule that includes some morning and evening hours, designed flexibly to meet operational needs. Compensation for this role is set at $22.70 per hour, though specific offers are tailored based on the candidate's experience, skills, geographic location, and market data alignment.

This role is ideal for individuals entering or re-entering the workforce, requiring no prior experience or formal education credentials such as a high school diploma, GED, or college degree. On-the-job training, including behind-the-wheel instruction, is provided to ensure the Shuttle Driver is fully prepared to meet job responsibilities effectively and safely. While a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) may be required depending on contractual needs, ABM supports candidates through the necessary certification processes.

Shuttle Drivers are expected to maintain a high standard of safety and customer service while transporting passengers. Duties include safely loading and unloading passengers and luggage, including the proper handling of specialized equipment for passengers with special needs such as wheelchair lifts and tie-downs. The role also involves daily vehicle inspections, routine cleaning, refueling, and maintenance to ensure vehicles remain in excellent operating condition and comply with Department of Transportation standards. Drivers communicate courteously and effectively with passengers, providing directions and assistance as needed, and act as frontline ambassadors for ABM's commitment to excellent customer service.

In addition to operational duties, Shuttle Drivers must be prepared to implement emergency procedures, including coordinating bus evacuation when necessary. Prompt reporting of any incidents or claims to management is a crucial part of maintaining safety and accountability. The role offers a stable, rewarding opportunity for those seeking flexible work hours and the chance to be part of a globally recognized leader in facility services and solutions. ABM's commitment to employee development, military-friendly hiring practices, and comprehensive benefits makes this opportunity especially compelling for individuals looking to build a lasting career in transportation and facility services.
