WeldWerks Brewing is a locally owned and operated craft brewery located in the historic downtown area of Greeley, Colorado. The role of the Taproom Ambassador is vital in presenting the first impression of WeldWerks Brewing to its guests. As a front-line representative, the Taproom Ambassador embodies the brand, weaving together excellent customer service, brand knowledge, and a warm, inviting atmosphere in the taproom. This position is non-exempt with a starting pay rate of $16.50 per hour plus participation in the tip pool, highlighting both competitive remuneration and incentive for exceptional service. The role demands a personable and knowledgeable individual who enjoys engaging with craft beer enthusiasts and new customers alike. Responsibilities include ensuring that every guest feels welcomed with responsive and courteous service, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety within the taproom, and being a proactive team member who contributes to improving the customer experience and operational workflows.

The ambassador is expected to be more than just a server; they are trusted team members who actively participate in the brewery's success and evolution. This includes providing constructive feedback, demonstrating flexibility in scheduling and tasks, and acquiring relevant certifications such as TIPS and Cicerone Certified Beer Server to deepen their expertise. Additional duties encompass supporting restaurant operations by delivering food, managing allergens awareness, and maintaining a clean environment, all while prioritizing teamwork and collaboration.

Ideal candidates possess a passion for craft beer and hospitality, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to stay calm under pressure. Proficiency with POS systems and basic math skills are essential, along with a commitment to learning and self-improvement. Physical requirements include the ability to work nights and weekends, stand for extended periods, and lift up to 160 pounds. Job Requirements

  • Must be 21 years old
  • Must have regular availability to work weekends, evenings, and events
  • Ability to work in a standing position for long periods
  • Frequently lift up to 160 pounds
  • Be available to work a minimum of three scheduled shifts per week with an emphasis on weekends
  • Acquire all applicable trainings such as TIPS training and Cicerone Certified Beer Server certification
  • Basic math skills
  • Basic knowledge of craft beer
  • Strong communication skills

  • Ability to coordinate with teammates in determining and adjusting daily staffing needs in the absence of direct management

Job Duties

  • Ensure that all guests feel welcome and are given responsive, informative, and courteous service
  • Maintain a safe and healthy taproom environment for guests and co-workers
  • Speak knowledgeably about current beer and food offerings as well as general company and brewing operations
  • Keep the taproom and outside areas clean and organized at all times
  • Contribute to building a continually improving taproom experience by identifying and communicating service and workflow inconsistencies and inefficiencies as well as taproom aesthetic and atmosphere enhancements
  • Understand communication channels and expectations and be able to share and receive constructive feedback to leadership and peers
  • Display flexibility and willingness to cover shifts and provide additional team support when needed
