Job Description
Diversified Restaurant Group (DRG) is a dynamic and people-focused restaurant company known for its growth and commitment to employee satisfaction. Established in 2012 with a modest portfolio of 30 Taco Bell units, DRG has rapidly expanded into a multi-brand operator managing over 300 restaurant units across various states including California, Kansas, Missouri, Nevada, and Alaska. The corporation proudly operates Taco Bell and Arby’s franchises, employing over 9,000 team members who are regarded as part of the DRG family. The company distinguishes itself by maintaining a small company culture despite its large size, emphasizing a people-first approach that fosters community, support, and professional growth for all employees.
As an employer, DRG offers a vibrant, inclusive work environment that values each person's contribution and promotes a positive, can-do attitude. Within this supportive framework, the Team Member - Service Champion position plays a critical role. This role is designed for individuals who thrive on customer interaction and teamwork. The Team Member acts as a brand ambassador, cultivating strong connections with customers through outstanding service and operational excellence. The position is non-exempt, which means it typically involves hourly wages with possible eligibility for overtime, depending on hours worked. The company offers multiple benefits and programs designed to enhance employee well-being and success.
The Team Member - Service Champion is responsible for a wide range of duties that include but are not limited to ensuring exceptional customer service, accurately processing payments, preparing and serving food and beverages efficiently, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment. This role demands a high level of professionalism, physical stamina, and a commitment to food safety guidelines. The work environment is fast-paced and requires individuals who are action-oriented, ethical, and skilled in effective communication and active listening. Employees must be comfortable standing and moving during shifts and lifting items up to 50 pounds.
This position is ideal for candidates who enjoy engaging with people and want to be part of a winning team dedicated to providing memorable dining experiences. Leadership behaviors such as customer focus, ethics and values, and action orientation are strongly encouraged. Candidates must meet certain requirements including being at least 18 years old, possessing basic math and reading skills, and maintaining valid health or work permits as required by local regulations.
Joining DRG as a Team Member means becoming part of a fast-growing, multi-state restaurant group with numerous opportunities for advancement and professional development. The company supports its team through programs like the DRG Cares Grant Program, Employee Assistance Program, educational benefits, and unique perks such as the DailyPay program for immediate paycheck access. This role promises a rewarding experience for those passionate about customer service and eager to contribute to a thriving restaurant environment. The franchisee, Golden Gate Bell, LLC, is the direct employer and is responsible for wages and benefits. Prospective employees should be prepared to embrace the energetic corporate culture of DRG while delivering excellent service at the local restaurant level.
