Job Description

Diversified Restaurant Group (DRG) is a people-first company dedicated to creating an engaging and supportive work environment for its employees. Founded in 2012 as a 30-unit Taco Bell operation, DRG has experienced significant growth and now operates over 300 units across multiple brands including Taco Bell and Arby's. With a workforce exceeding 9,000 team members, DRG has expanded its footprint across California, Kansas, Missouri, Nevada, and Alaska. Despite its impressive scale, DRG maintains a small company feel emphasizing family values and team camaraderie. The company prides itself on offering opportunities for career development and fostering a positive workplace culture where every employee is valued as part of the DRG family.

The Team Member - Service Champion role is central to DRG's commitment to providing exceptional customer service and building lifelong customer relationships. This position is suited for individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments and enjoy engaging with customers and colleagues. As a non-exempt position, team members work under the supervision of shift managers, assistant general managers, general managers, and area coaches. The role involves being a brand ambassador by representing the company’s values and dedication to quality service. Team members bring a positive, can-do attitude every day, helping to promote a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat customer visits.

Team Members are responsible for delivering top-notch customer service by accurately processing payments, taking orders, preparing and serving food and beverages, and maintaining compliance with food safety guidelines. Additionally, maintaining a clean and safe work environment is essential for the health and satisfaction of both customers and employees. The role demands physical stamina, including standing and walking for extended periods and lifting up to 50 pounds, which suits candidates who are energetic and action-oriented. It also requires strong verbal communication skills and the ability to follow company policies and procedures diligently.

Beyond the day-to-day responsibilities, DRG offers comprehensive employee benefits designed to support team members in their personal and professional lives. These benefits include financial assistance through the DRG Cares Grant Program, exclusive employee discounts via the DRG Savings Marketplace, access to counseling and legal support through the Employee Assistance Program, educational opportunities such as GED reimbursement and language classes, and the option to receive paychecks daily through the DailyPay program. The company also fosters leadership behaviors like customer focus, ethics, and attentive listening to ensure a respectful and motivated workforce.

Overall, the Team Member - Service Champion position at DRG is ideal for those who are enthusiastic about hospitality, enjoy working collaboratively, and are eager to grow within a dynamic and expanding restaurant group. This role not only offers the chance to develop valuable skills and advance in the restaurant industry but also invites applicants to join a supportive community committed to excellence and employee well-being.
