Job Description

Diversified Restaurant Group (DRG) is a people-first company that prides itself on combining the advantages of a large operation with the personalized touch of a small company environment. Founded in 2012 with a 30-unit Taco Bell business, DRG has successfully expanded its footprint to over 300 units, managing multiple brands. Currently, the company operates Taco Bell restaurants across California, Kansas, Missouri, and Nevada, as well as Arby’s restaurants in Alaska, California, and Nevada. With a robust team exceeding 9,000 members, DRG continues to grow each day by fostering a culture that values its people as part of the DRG Family. This growth and commitment to excellence create a dynamic and rewarding workplace where employees are empowered to succeed.

The Team Member (TM) Food Champion role at DRG is an entry-level position ideal for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment and possess a positive, can-do attitude. This non-exempt position offers the opportunity to engage directly with customers and contribute to creating memorable experiences that foster lifelong connections. As a vital part of the team, the Food Champion is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service by efficiently processing orders and payments, preparing and serving food and beverages, and adhering to food safety protocols. The role emphasizes teamwork, professionalism, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

As a brand ambassador, the Team Member represents the company’s values and commitment to service excellence. This role requires someone who is enthusiastic about contributing to the team’s success and thrives in a setting where action-oriented behaviors and strong ethics are valued. Responsibilities include maintaining accuracy in order processing, providing prompt service, and upholding all company policies and procedures. The Food Champion also plays a key part in the store’s overall customer experience by engaging with customers in a friendly and professional manner while ensuring operational standards are met.

DRG supports its employees with various benefits designed to enhance their well-being and professional growth. These include the DRG Cares Grant Program for financial assistance, access to exclusive discounts through the DRG Savings Marketplace, and the Employee Assistance Program providing counseling and legal support. Additionally, educational benefits such as GED reimbursement and free language education are available, along with the Live Mas Scholarship Program and DailyPay for flexible paycheck access. These benefits reflect DRG’s commitment to valuing and supporting its team members both inside and outside of the workplace.

This position requires strong verbal communication skills, physical stamina to stand and walk throughout the shift, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Candidates must be at least 18 years old and maintain a valid Health Card or Work Permit as required by local regulations.
