Job Requirements

  • Must be able to obtain Non-Key LA Gaming License and Responsible Vendor Certification
  • Basic knowledge of a Casino Credit system preferred
  • Previous experience in a leadership position preferred
  • Game knowledge/experience of at least two Pit Games required
  • Must possess good communication and customer service skills
  • Must be willing to work any day of the week and any shift
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Must be able to stand, stoop, bend, and lie on back to work inside the confines of a slot machine cabinet for long periods
  • Required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls
  • Must be able to lift and move up to 10 pounds
  • Vision abilities required include distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception
  • Must present a well-groomed appearance
  • Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondhand smoke, high noise levels, bright lights, and dust
  • Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team
  • Must be able to work inside and continuously maneuver around Pit area and throughout the hotel/casino property

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous casino experience preferred
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Strong knowledge of table games and casino operations
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to handle disputes and resolve conflicts professionally
  • Ability to manage and train personnel effectively
  • Detail-oriented and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties

  • Safeguard casino assets
  • Implement and ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and gaming regulatory requirements
  • Supervise the operation of an assigned number of tables and dealers
  • Train and ensure equitable treatment of Table Games personnel
  • Ensure fills and credits are handled according to policy
  • Promote outstanding guest relations
  • Assist in answering questions or resolving disputes
  • Create an atmosphere of fun for all casino guests
  • Encourage mutual respect, dignity, and integrity among associates by setting a positive example
  • Instill an atmosphere that encourages associates to share ideas, discuss concerns, and resolve disputes
  • Retain associates through personal involvement in training and development
  • Support and maintain Horseshoe courtesy guidelines
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Directly supervise an assigned number of dealers
  • Manage orders for fills and credits slips, key control, markers, customer balance records, table inventory forms, and complimentary rooms, food, and beverage
  • Read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
  • Write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Present information effectively and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the public
  • Solve practical problems and deal with various concrete variables in situations with limited standardization
  • Interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Work varying schedules to reflect business needs
  • Obtain appropriate work authorization per gaming regulations
