As a leading casino in the region, Emerald Queen offers a wide array of gaming options, entertainment, and amenities that draw visitors from diverse backgrounds. This casino blends cultural heritage with modern gaming entertainment, ensuring patrons enjoy an immersive experience with a focus on hospitality and customer satisfaction. The Emerald Queen Casino is dedicated to fostering an inclusive workplace and upholding the highest standards of integrity and professionalism within the gaming industry.
The position of Table Games Dealer at Emerald Queen Casino is a vital role within their gaming operations department. This full-time position offers a starting wage of $16.76 per hour plus tips, with the opportunity for wage increases based on proficiency in dealing multiple games. The role entails providing superior guest service to casino patrons while efficiently managing various table games such as Blackjack, Roulette, and Craps. Dealers are responsible for welcoming guests at the table, handling buy-ins and payouts, and ensuring compliance with casino policies and regulatory guidelines. This position requires strong customer interaction skills to communicate effectively with managers, supervisors, and team members, especially in situations involving game irregularities or transaction issues.
Beyond gaming responsibilities, Table Games Dealers must strictly adhere to established procedures for verifying chip amounts, fills, and credits, maintaining transparency and accuracy in all transactions. The role demands prolonged physical stamina as dealers must be capable of standing for extended periods exceeding eight hours and working in a smoke-filled environment. Shift flexibility is necessitated, covering day, swing, graveyard shifts, and holidays to meet operational needs. Candidates for this position will also need to obtain a Class III A gaming license from the Puyallup Tribal Gaming Regulatory Office and the Washington State Gaming Commission as part of regulatory compliance.
Emerald Queen Casino emphasizes continuous training and professional development for its dealers, including satisfactory completion of the casino's approved dealer training school or equivalent programs. Prior casino dealing experience is essential, particularly with at least two of the three major table games. Applicants must demonstrate good math skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately. This job offers excellent employer-paid medical, dental, vision, and life insurance benefits, underscoring the casino's commitment to employee well-being.
Working as a Table Games Dealer at Emerald Queen means joining a dynamic team focused on delivering a memorable gaming experience to guests while upholding the highest ethical standards. The casino supports equal employment opportunities and adheres to all federal employment regulations and tribal hiring preferences. Pre-employment drug testing is mandatory, but the policy allows for marijuana use unless the job entails driving a company vehicle. Emerald Queen Casino provides a professional, inclusive, and engaging workplace designed to help employees thrive and grow within the gaming and hospitality industry.
