The role is highly technical and demands a professional who can manage complex environments with an eye on performance, security, compliance, and operational excellence. The Systems Engineer will serve as a key technical resource driving modernization efforts, automation, and infrastructure reliability. Responsibilities include the direct management of server infrastructure across distributed sites, leading cloud and hybrid deployments, and ensuring the security posture aligns with HIPAA and other regulatory frameworks relevant to healthcare.
The ideal candidate will have between 5 to 7 years or more experience in systems engineering or enterprise infrastructure roles. A breadth of expertise is required covering Windows Server, Linux, virtualization technologies like VMware and Hyper-V, as well as Microsoft Azure cloud services. Moreover, the Systems Engineer will support identity and access management services such as Active Directory and Entra ID, ensuring seamless integration with network and cloud security. Monitoring network and systems performance through advanced observability tools will be a key aspect of the position, as will proactive troubleshooting and incident response for complex infrastructure issues. The position requires strong automation skills using scripting languages such as PowerShell and Python to enhance operational efficiencies.
