Atlas Air Worldwide is a global leader in outsourced aviation logistics, operating across more than 70 countries with a fleet comprised exclusively of modern Boeing aircraft. Established over 30 years ago, the company employs nearly 5,000 professionals across its operations, technical, and corporate functions. Known not just as an airline but as a robust engine powering cargo, passenger, and leasing services, Atlas Air Worldwide is grounded on the core values of safety, service excellence, integrity, innovation, teamwork, and responsibility. These values drive the company's continuous growth and industry leadership, making it a sought-after workplace for professionals eager to contribute meaningfully to global aviation and logistics.
We are currently seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable professional to join our team as a Weight and Balance Program Specialist. This role is vital for maintaining compliance with both company and manufacturer (Boeing) regulations regarding aircraft operational and structural limitations. The specialist will utilize their expertise to oversee and ensure the proper use of the company's Weight and Balance program and related systems, playing a crucial role in the safe and efficient operation of our fleet. Responsibilities include managing the weight and balance application, conducting audits, supporting training programs, and collaborating closely with various company departments and external vendors.
The candidate will leverage their extensive ground operations background to enhance system functionality and ensure the effective execution of daily department initiatives. This position requires a solid understanding of aviation operations, scheduling, and logistics, alongside proficiency in electronic weight and balance systems. The successful applicant will also support special projects, participate in meetings as the subject matter expert, and provide support and coverage for operational hotlines as needed.
This is a full-time role with a competitive salary range of $62,500 to $84,000 USD, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, employee assistance programs, generous paid time off, and 401K contributions. Candidates should expect opportunities for travel domestically and internationally to support station operations and special projects.
Join Atlas Air Worldwide and be part of a company that not only moves cargo but ambition. Grow, innovate, and help us deliver excellence every single day in a dynamic, values-driven environment where your expertise and dedication will make a direct impact on the safety and success of worldwide aviation operations.
