The role of Systems Administrator at Kyra Solutions is a long-term, on-site position located in Tallahassee, FL. This role is an integral part of the organization’s IT infrastructure team, focusing on optimizing and maintaining cloud and server environments that support Kyra’s government clients. The Systems Administrator will be responsible for managing and optimizing Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS) resources, ensuring seamless operation and security of IT infrastructure essential to the company’s digital transformation initiatives.

A successful candidate for this role will have a minimum of three to five years of IT experience in diverse system environments, with substantial expertise in Windows Server administration, particularly Windows Server 2016 and newer versions. Experience with cloud technologies is crucial, including a minimum of three years working with Microsoft Azure and at least two years with AWS. Additional technical skills required include administering Active Directory, DNS, and Group Policy for large user environments exceeding 1,000 users, Linux server management, and proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and management tasks.

The Systems Administrator will also collaborate closely with data center staff, Office of Information Technology (OIT), and end-users to execute deployments, upgrades, and configurations efficiently. They will troubleshoot and resolve server issues with minimal impact, ensuring that Kyra Solutions’ technology infrastructure operates at its peak. The role demands strong communication skills, a proactive problem-solving attitude, and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.

Candidates must hold a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline, or have equivalent work experience substituting for education on a year-for-year basis. Preferred qualifications include experience with government projects, especially in state government, and compliance with regulatory standards such as Rule 60GG-1, F.A.C. Knowledge of IT standards in criminal justice environments and additional skills in programming or data analytics are also beneficial.
